1. The Stein Family Foundation (the “Foundation”) reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to modify, amend or cancel the ASPIRE Program and/or any of the terms and conditions herein, at any time, without notice.
  2. Each ASPIRE Award (the “Award”) will have a value of up to $1,500 CAN paid to a university, college or trade school (the “Post-Secondary Institution”) and applied against student tuition and/or supplies (books, materials, etc.) on the attending student’s behalf.
  1. Only students and staff members of high schools, secondary schools or cégeps (“Schools”) in Canada participating in the ASPIRE Program may submit applications.
  2. Only the participating members of the school’s awards and scholarship committee in conjunction with representatives of the foundation may select winning candidate(s).
  3. Each participating school is responsible for its own award selection committee and for publicizing the award within their institution.
  4. By submitting an application, each candidate and their school authorizes the foundation, the participating post-secondary institution, and their respective representatives to collect, use, store and confirm information about the candidate as provided on the application submitted (including references) for the purposes of administering and promoting the award.
  5. The number and distribution of awards, as well as the amount of each award, will be confirmed with participating schools on or before March 1 of the graduation year.
  1. The candidate must be in their final academic year of secondary school in Canada.
  2. The candidate must be intending to enroll and be accepted in an eligible program at a post-secondary institution following graduation
  3. The candidate must attain a minimum overall average of 70% or equivalent in their final year.
  4. The candidate must meet the following criteria:
    • demonstrates targets and goals for their future education and employment;
    • displays expertise and dedication to improving their skills through continued education;
    • undertakes the effort and demonstrating the willingness required to be a success;
    • encourages and mentors others via their performances, teaching or publication;
    • takes advantage of available resources and opportunities to expand and broaden their talents;
    • possesses a passion in pursuing a career path associated with a field of study or sport.
